MAYWOOD, N.J. -- Emma M Smith, of Maywood, died on Thursday, Dec. 29. She was 87.
Before retiring, she worked for Dr. H. Gardy of Maywood as a Receptionist. She was a Member of Our Lady Queen of Peace R.C. Church Maywood, Rosary Society at Our Lady Queen of Peace and the Maywood Seniors.
She is survived by her children, Georgene Novak and her fiancé Clifford Grenewicz, Kathleen Burel and her husband Marc, Charlene Smith, Michael Smith and his wife Catherine; grandchildren, John, Suellen, Craig, Eric, David, Kyle and Lindsay; great-grandchildren, Johnny, Annalee and Finn; siblings, Mary Grace Provenzano, Eleanor McGlew and the late Lucille Troy; and longtime companion, William Ludwig.
Family will receive friends on Monday, Jan. 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home 113 South Farview Ave., Paramus. Mass is 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace R.C. Church, 400 Maywood Avenue Maywood. Funeral Interment Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee.
